Join the “LMNY” Group for guided visits of temporary exhibits in the major or less known museums in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Westchester….., places you wouldn’t go on your own. For example: Dia Beacon, the Noguchi Museum, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Aldrich Museum, but also the Chelsea Art Museum, the National Academy….Docents from the Museum will lead tours in English. Generally, the number of participants is limited to 15 per docent.
Also Galleries Tours for 10 members are lead by Laurence Neron-Bancel. The itineraries, depending on the area, are available a few days before.
The calendar is usually planned for a term and is available on the internet in the Members Section.
Everyone interested in Art is welcome. We all bring our own experience and knowledge. There is a large diversity in nationalities and experiences.
Quite a large number of the members are Francophone, as the group started out within the French Community of Larchmont, Rye, and Mamaroneck, as the founder of the Group is Laurence Neron-Bancel.
Although some of the members are artists, collectors or docents, these qualifications are not at all necessary and other expertise such as driving skills, map reading, restaurant critics are really appreciated.
The list of members and personal information is available in the private section reserved for Members in the Website and this is one of the reasons the private code is not to be shared, to protect your privacy.
